LOTTOPROF 3.1
=============
Increase your winning chances. Leverage your playing power with
the LottoProf advantage!
LottoProf examines any bet combination you might play and tells
you your chances of winning. Then shows you in a graph how it
compares to others. That way, for however much money you want to
wager, LottoProf shows you the best play for your betting dollar.
LottoProf supports almost any 5-ball or 6-ball game, making it
easy to keep track of your lottery's winning numbers. You can
view the winning numbers in a graph, see which ones are hitting
most often, and save your favorite numbers for later play.
Keep track of the wagers you make in your own Player Program.
When the latest drawing results are in, LottoProf will easily
find your winning tickets. And quickly tally your winnings.
Eliminate the tedium of marking bet slips by hand. If you have a
LaserJet printer, LottoProf will print your bet slips for you!
LottoProf is your complete lottery playing companion. Without it
you are wasting money!
CONTENTS:
README -- This file.

LP.CFG -- Configuration file used by LottoProf.
LP.EXE -- LottoProf program.
HELP.* -- Help files used by LottoProf.
*.LOT -- Sample winning number files.

Depending on distribution, these files may be compressed into one
archival file, most likely called LOTOPROF.ZIP. If any of these
files are missing or defective simply return the distribution
diskette to the author for immediate replacement:
ColorVision Computing
271 Shakespeare Dr.
Waterloo, Ontario, Canada
N2L 2T8
SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS:
- IBM PC compatible with 640 Kb memory
- MS-DOS version 3.0 or greater
- EGA or VGA graphics
- a hard disk is recommended (about 320 Kb of space required)
- a printer is recommended but not required
- an HP LaserJet compatible printer is needed to print bet slips
GAME RESTRICTIONS:
- any pick-5 lotto game up to 5/60 with no bonus number
- any pick-6 lotto game up to 6/60 with or without a bonus number
INSTALLATION:
Installation is simple. Insert the distribution diskette into your disk
drive. Let's say it is drive a:. Then at the DOS prompt, type this:
cd \
md lotoprof
cd lotoprof
copy a:*.*
If you downloaded from a BBS then you will most likely need to decompress
the files as below. (The program pkunzip.exe is not included.)
pkunzip lotoprof.zip
Installation for the registered version is even easier. Just type
"a:install" from the DOS prompt and everything will be done for you --
including the set up of your own Player Program.
THIS VERSION:
This is the Shareware version of LottoProf and is virtually identical
to the commercial version (version 3.12 as of May 15 1993). Not one
feature has been removed, not one function debilitated. There is
no expiry date, no limit on the number of program runs, no lockouts
of any kind. What's been added are "order information" screens.
When you register your version you will receive:
- the printed User's Guide, including ...
- Special Report: The Truth About Lottery Busters
- the most recent program version
- over 180 of the most popular wheeling systems
- analysis results of these wheeling systems
- the winning numbers of your lottery (see the list)
- a player program set up in your name
- a Special Offer (see below)
- the very best advice on how to play the lottery!
If it could be done, the User's Guide would be included in this
Shareware edition. Alas, there are too many graphs, too many
screen snapshots, too many different fonts -- a plain text manual
just cannot do justice. Instead, a function summary and few words
of orientation are found in LP.MAN. Remember that help is always
available in the program by pressing the F1 key.
ABOUT SHAREWARE:
"Shareware" describes a way of distributing software. Under the
Shareware method, software may be freely copied, shared with others,
distributed through bulletin board systems, etc.
With Shareware, you may use the software for a short trial period to
determine if it meets your needs. If it does, you pay the registration
fee. By paying the fee, you are granted the right to retain the software
for your use. If the software is not suitable then you may discard it or
pass it along to others.
The Shareware system provides substantial benefits:
1) You get to try out the software BEFORE you buy it so you know
exactly what you're buying.
2) Shareware is substantially less expensive than most commercial
programs. You don't pay for costly marketing programs and
fancy packaging.
3) You get access to a MUCH broader base of available programs.
Thousands of excellent programs have been written by expert
programmers who would never consider marketing commercially.
The system is based entirely on the honor system and generally works
quite well. Shareware is not Public Domain software - the author still
retains all rights. And Shareware is not free software - the author
counts on your honesty pay for what you use.
